Seventh Generation Video Game – What is it? Â Below is a brief history.
Now we are all suffering the seventh generation of video games. could say we are all children of the Seventh Generation, everyone and all ages, however, one wonders how many have heard talk about it!
The Seventh Generation brought the arrival of new disc formats, although it is a format that only seems to have survived to this day: the Blu-ray that uses the PlayStation 3 and HD DVD as used by the HD DVD Xbox Xbox 360. was used through an optional accessory, but later fell by the wayside in the format war that followed. Not the best time of Microsoft!
One really important feature to reach the scene is the use of movement as a contribution medium. This of course is widely used by the Nintendo Wii and by different means, the Playstation 3.a The Wii, of course, also uses tracking Infra Red, perhaps the mainstay of the Wii concept. Last but not least, all Seventh Generation systems support wireless controllers standard.
Of course, only the biggest players in the manufacturing industry have been able to develop games for the seventh generation of systems:
XBox 360
Microsoft is behind the Xbox 360 and believe it or not, this was released as long asa November 2005. Your HD DVD drive does not really take off and although originally available as an accessory, the format has been dropped.
The Xbox Live service can connect to the Internet through its built-in Ethernet port or Wi-Fi accessory. Currently available in three versions, the Xbox can be bought at the entry level "Arcade" version, a standard version with a disc hard and an "Elite" version, also in HD. The biggest difference between these versions is its storage capacity .. the Arcade edition of 256 MB of storage, the standard version has 60 GB hard drive capacity, while the Elite comes with a 120GB drive. all come with wireless controllers, and so it is unclear whether has splashed out on the Elite console and controllers are in Black, so that your friends are no doubt aware!  The other differences are about what games are clustered, cables, etc.
The Xbox 360 is capable of issuing 1080p via HDMI and component cables.
Sony Playstation 3
Sony's Playstation 3 was launched in Japan and the U.S. in November 2006. Europe had to wait for the PS3 until March 2007.
All PlayStation 3 comes with a hard drive and are capable of playing Blu-ray movies and games directly from the box. The PlayStation 3 was the first video game console to support HDMI out of the box the use of 1080p. For the anoraks out there, "HDMI" means High Definition Multimedia Interface and the 1080 "refers to the number lines of vertical resolution of 1080 horizontal scan lines – those who remember the old CRT televisions remember that you see the lines as he had many less. The bottom line is resolution with HDMI fabulous!
You can connect up to seven devices to the console via Bluetooth, including controllers tilt sensor capabilities.
There are some versions of Playstation 3 in the market, but seem to vary depending on the region in which purchased. No doubt there is wisdom in the market by region, but to enter the various specifications extend beyond the scope of this brief article. Anyway, in the opinion of the writer, they are all good!
The Nintendo Wii
The Nintendo Wii was launched in the U.S. in November 2006 and in Japan, Australia and Europe in December 2006.
Contrary to other systems of the seventh generation, the Wii does not use an internal hard drive. One can argue that the lack of moving parts of a system that is expected to take a few blows, could be considered an advantage since the Wii uses 512 MB of internal flash memory and removable SD storage cards. SD stands for "Secure Digital" and you have most likely used one of these on your mobile phone or camera or video recorder.
Although a fan of the Wii, one has to admit that the output resolution of only 480p is a bit disappointing, so which is the seventh generation of console, not only to output high definition graphics. However, the fun to be had and lowest price is considered generally regarded as more than adequate compensation.
Central to the Wii experience is the regulator of the vanguard of the Wii, fans are known as "the Wii Remote "and indeed it does resemble a TV remote control unit. The players are facing the sensor system, which also emits infrared light. This is captured by an infrared receiver on the Wii Remote and translated by the brilliant software to interpret the relative orientation to the source. People used to think that one would that use virtual reality helmet to experience this sensation. was the stuff you would see on Sci-Fi movies. The Wii has brought to this room of an average family.
The Wii is Nintendo's first console to be back compatible with previous Nintendo consoles and will be seen as a bonus for owners of GameCube games, in fact, the Wii supports four GameCube controllers and two memory cards.

It is fair to say that the seventh generation has changed the way people watch video of Games. previously the exclusive territory of children and adolescents, the seventh generation console systems are being bought increasingly by mature adults.
