Is it better to install home theater cables through TV or through receiver?
I am building a new home theater system with the following components: Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ800U Plasma, Onkyo TX-SR705 Receiver 7.1, PlayStation 3, TiVo Series3 HD DVR, Nintendo Wii, and a cable high definition. I have the option to run all the devices directly to the TV via HDMI and component cables, and then run a HDMI cable to the audio receiver. Or you can run all devices directly to the receiver via HDMI and component cables and then run an HDMI cable to your TV for video. I make sure I get 7.1 surround sound, while at the same time achieve the best possible video quality. The method is preferable to the other? Is it even matter?
The best is for all sources of audio and video directly to a receiver and HDMI to TV for video.
